The Komodo is built on the trusted and loved Gryphus 2 platform, using the same proven airfoil but with every non-essential element removed. By trimming all excess “fat,” we created a canopy with a singular focus: ultimate lightweight construction and minimal pack volume.
To reach these weight and volume savings, the Komodo features no slats or vents and uses a blend of PIA spec and custom woven materials.
In addition, the Spectra line set makes the Komodo a slider-up only canopy. While it can occasionally be used for unpacked or static-line jumps, it is not intended for freefall delays without a slider.
If you are looking for an all-around BASE parachute, the Gryphus 2 is a better choice.
